I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend (if you got today off of course)!
Anyway, for as long as I can remember people have been telling me to- just stay positive. And, for as long as I can remember, this has always been a struggle for me. Not only is this a theme that arises in the classroom, but in sports, clubs, and almost all other facets of our lives.
Well, the reason I am even on this topic is because my roommates and I went to see Silver Linings Playbook tonight at the movie theater. It was fantastic. I know, I know, I am by no means a movie critic and that is not what I am here to do. But wow, it has such a wonderful storyline and I felt that I actually got something out of going to see it. I didn’t just stare blankly at a movie screen for 2 hours and waste $10.
I would definitely recommend this movie, it’s one of those feel-good films, that you leave simply satisfied. It also has a really meaningful underlying theme, which quite clearly, is-always stay positive. Trust me, I know, it is most certainly easier said than done, but give it a shot!
That reminds me of my favorite quote from the movie, when Bradley Cooper states, “This is what I believe to be true: you have to do everything you can, and if you stay positive, you have a shot at a silver lining.”
Have a positive week ahead!
