Happy Sunday all! I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day last week!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I had such a fun time celebrating the day of loooove! UB always does a wonderful job being festive, no matter what the holiday.

On Thursday in the Student Union, they had people selling chocolate, baked goods and all sorts of cute things. There were also students giving away free roses in return for hugs. Everyone seemed to be in a very happy and giving mood, it was great-whether you had a valentine or not!

Like I said, it isn’t only Valentine’s Day these sorts of things go on, but other fun holidays, or just random days, as well. I’ll give you a couple examples. On Halloween, there is ALWAYS candy being given out (great for people with a sweet tooth), they have people dressed up in costumes, and there are even some fun games…like that one that you have to eat a donut off a string without using your hands!

Aside from holidays, one of the most popular events in the Student Union is the Hump Day Hangout. This is held every Wednesday and students can get free pizza and soda and just, hang out. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy some food halfway through the school week.

As you can see, UB always has something going on. That is definitely one of the reasons I love being here so much. Whether it is just any random day of the week, or a special holiday, there is always a way to have fun and get involved!
