I might have eaten too much…

So today is black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. The most annoying day in the history of retail.

Being home is great. I have been spending a bunch of time with my family. It is really great because we are a very tight knit bunch. We always have a good time when we are together. Tonight I am going out to dinner with my best friend from high school-I am SOOO excited to see her because I haven’t seen her since June. Other than that I’ll I’ve been doing this vacation is work on my papers that I have due next week. Its been really annoying because all I really want to do is lay around all day.

I’m almost done with everything so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Finals are just around the corner and the end of the semester is in 2 weeks.

T-Gives

Hoooray! It’s time for thanksgiving break! I get to go home, see the fam, and eat till I explode! But unfortunately for me, I will spend most of my break working on papers/ studying for tests. When I get back from thanksgiving break I have 2 tests and four papers due. My life is going to be a littttle hectic. Yikes!

Well, I basically described everything that has been going on in my life. Its always fun to be on campus the day before a holiday break because there is hardly anyone there (meaning GREAT parking spots). The drive home will be easy because luckily it hasn’t been snowing and there doesn’t seem to be any predicted snow. I’ll make sure to keep everyone update about my adventures at home.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY! Remember that your turkey didn’t die in vein so eat as much as you can!

I wish I could Hibernate!

I can totally tell that its the end of the semester because all I really want to do is curl up in a ball in my bed and go to sleep for like 3 months. I think its the weather. I just cannot handle it once it gets under 60 degrees outside.

So this week I have been in the library every night working on the papers I have to write. Two papers down, two more to go. One is a group project so I don’t have to do as much work for it.

Other than that I have a pretty fun weekend planned. Tonight I am hanging out with my friend who I haven’t seen in two weeks. Tomorrow night I am supposed to go out to dinner with some friends so that should be pretty fun. It’ll be pretty exciting!

It’s all starting to set in…

I thought that since most of my blogs are about food, I would take this opportunity to talk about something a little more serious.

I have to confide in you blog readers that I am a little bit nervous about this D.C. trip. Today two  of my friends dropped by to see how I was doing and we talked about how strange it’s going to be in a completely different place while my college friecnds lives continue on without me. I know that D.C. isn’t that far from Buffalo, but it will still be like we are living in completely  different worlds. Hopefully with the addition of webcams, I will be able to keep in touch with everyone. Having facebook is an extra perk because I know all of my friends check it a million times a day.  I have become used to living in Buffalo and Cleveland no longer feels like my main residence. It’ll be strange to adjust to living in a bustling city, especially a city where everyone takes the train to get around. I think that is my main qualm with Buffalo, that the public transportation system is not easy to navigate.

I am really excited to be in such an amazing city with so many opportunities. I know it will be a fantastic experience but leaving here is going to be hard. Luckily, it is only  for three months so I will be back before I know it. These next few weeks are going to be crazy with all of the papers/finals and I cannot wait for thanksgiving (for obvious eating-related reasons). Otherwise thats it for now. I’ll keep you guys updated.

soup, salad and breadsticks. a complete meal

So I titled my blog as such because this past weekend, (on Sunday) I went out to lunch with three of my friends for one of my favorite treats in the whole universe. Whomever created the soup, salad and breadsticks combo at Olive Garden is a true genius. I’m still drooling over it right now…….

So now that I made myself sound like a 1000 pound man…. this weekend was really great. I saw the movie Role Models which was hilarious. There is a movie theater down the street from North Campus which is really convenient. They also have good student discounts which is always a plus.  I spent most of the weekend just hanging out and catching up on some house hold chores…ie laundry and obviously I went to “The Garden” (or Olive Garden for those who don’t pick up what I meant.)

Next week is the start of craziness cause I have like 10000000000 papers due. And faster than you can say Bosco Sticks finals are going to be here. EEEEK! I still cannot believe how quickly this semester flew by.  My trip to D.C. is soooo close!!!! Otherwise all is pretty quiet around here. I am considering going home this weekend because my older sister will be home but its still undecided….we’ll see where the week takes me.

Sorry about all those exclamation marks…I just love politics

Yoooo,

So its been a pretty hectic week. I had another human rights exam today and I think I did pretty well. Things have been pretty busy on the home front as well. I have now started getting outrageously antsy in anticipation of DC. I even listened to  the song “DC Sleeps Alone Tonight” over and over again which is a pretty big deal because I hate that song…a lot.

Other than that there was a big football game on Tuesday and UB totally kicked some behind. It was also the first game to be broadcast on ESPN (2 that is). It also was historic because it was the first time in history that UB won against the Redhawks. I do have friends that go there (Miami of Ohio) so it feels pretty good to rub that in their face. (booya)

This weekend should be pretty fun. UB Stars training on Friday and then there is a trip to Dave and Busters as a little “Stars appreciation”/Bonding trip. I am looking forward to Saturday when I can actually sleep in because I don’t have to study this week!! SWEEEEEETTTT!

Alright, I have to go watch The Office, I just love that tension between Jim and Pam. PEEEEACE!

OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so proud to be an Ohioan right now!

oh, hey global warming, didn’t notice you over there

Ok so I know I was complaining earlier about the cold weather but this oddly warm weather we’ve been having lately is kinda creepy. Today it was like 65 degrees and tomorrow its supposed to be 70! YIKES!

Which brings me to my next point….tomorrow is the election! Now I’m not going to go all political on you but…..I am very excited to see the outcome of the election! Hopefully everything goes the way it should and our next president gets us out of this whole mess. Another lovely thing about college is that there areng  a ton of different political views floating around so you can expereince everything out there.
